Since the age of 12 I have been well acquainted with the concept of chronic pain. Ever since that time I have been on a quest to relieve ailments and increase the quality of life by reducing pain. In 2004 I attended the American Institute of Massage Therapy and received my license in Massage Therapy and Body Work. I am currently attending Nova Southeastern University to earn my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. So I am still on my quest to attain the knowledge and expertise in diagnosing ailments and applying treatment to promote health and well-being.
Since graduating, I have sought to advance my knowledge and ability to bring balance to mind and body. My pursuit for knowledge and experience began working with Geriatric Population of Century Village applying therapeutic techniques and promoting health and wellness. Following my introduction to health and wellness promotion I decided to gain experience from the rejuvenation and relaxation industry independently contracting with various Spa’s such as the Lago Mar Spa and Beach Resort, The Riverhouse and the Trump Towers. I was invited to perform sports massage on world-class athletes at the Swimming Hall of Fame during the 2005 and 2006 swimming nationals in Fort Lauderdale and Coral Springs. Using a unique style of Sports massage which incorporates increased nutrient flow and flexibility of muscles fibers and decreasing overexertion injury, I prepared these athletes for optimal performance and a quicker bounce back from fatigue in preparation for the next competition.
In order to maximize the effectiveness of my treatments I enrolled in the Nova Southeastern University's Doctoral program of Physical Therapy. It is through this Doctorate program where I have transcended my treatment potential. It is from this base where the Therapeutic Presence concept was formed. Through this form of progressive education I am able to assess, analyze and diagnoses anatomical and kineisological disorders.
I am nationally certified by the NCBTMB, licensed in the state of Florida and insured. I am currently a member of the FSMTA, APTA and FPTA.
